Good people,
i am relatively a new member to this forum and already i am convinced that it is a mine of information. In light of this, i would like to enquire about the whereabouts of the group that made waves in 70's in Biafra SWEET BREEZE. I grew up on that sound and will like to communicate with them. Please if anybody knows of any of their whereabout please i can be reached at [email protected]

Welcome on Board Imalazi.....

The quintet of Ike Otuonye, Paul Akalaonu, Dallas "king" Anyanwu and Jackie More had since disbanded. Given the short live span of musical groups, you would'nt expect such pop music groups to last more than two or three years together. Not to add the lack of "real" revenue from such talent areas as the performing arts in our African culture. The incentive to earn real living through the performing arts remains a dearth in our cultural millieu. I think most of the group came to the United States individually in the late 70s and early 80s.

Chudi Sokie,

Were you one of the Sweet Breeze? They were the first life band I saw as a young man at the Enugu Presidential Hotel probably in 1980 but it could have been '79 too. I was either in my last year of high school or just got out when they visited as I reminisce those days.
