Last week you'll recall that I sent you a message asking for your help in rallying 50,000 citizens to sign our petition calling for both the Republican and Democratic committees to make the Public Acknowledgment of God part of their official 2004 Party Platform.
I've got great news to report!
Since that message, you've rallied more than 8,000 citizens, leaving us about 16,000 shy of our goal!
This proves to me that Americans are eager to see this happen and are willing to add their name in support provided we can get the message to them.
That's why I'm asking everyone who has already signed this petition to make it a goal in the coming week to personally lead just one additional citizen to sign our petition.
Here's what you can do:
+ + Action Item #1--Personally Rally One Citizen to Sign!
Please go to your spouse or significant other, and inform them that our right to publicly acknowledge God is being washed out of the fabric of our nation.
Point to recent examples with the Ten Commandments, or the Supreme Court's refusal to lift a ban on prayer during mealtime at one of our nation's most respected military institutions, VMI.
Let them know that they have a voice in this issue and can take action. Tell them that I am ready to go to the mat for religious liberty, and for everyone who signs this petition.
Then, most importantly, take them to the computer, and bring up the petition, taking them through each step. I've provided the link below:

To be quite frank, I need more church support in this initiative.
That's why I'm appealing to you to take this petition to your worship leaders. Educate and motivate them to take immediate action by alerting their congregation.
You may even be so bold as to suggest printing our link to the petition in the bulletin!
Let's not miss this opportunity to get our political parties to make the public acknowledgement of God part of their official party platform this summer!
