Odili showers dollars on players
RIVERS State Governor, Peter Odili, yesterday dolled out the sum of $1,000 for each member of the Super Eagles, just as he fulfilled his promise in 2002 by giving out the Certificate of Occupancy of the land, which he promised them when they qualified for the Korea/Japan 2002 World Cup .

The governor gave the sum of $2,000 to the team's captain, Austin Okocha, saying that as the leader of team, he deserved to get more.

He also stated that he would continue to host Eagles' matches as long as he remains governor of Rivers State. He told the players to always remember the less privileged ones.

Odili told the players yesterday that if the Eagles had lost the game, Okocha would have had a larger share of the blame adding that now that the team won, he should be praised.
