Hope this young man gets well soon and performs for Vandy as March Madness season is once again upon us. Feels good to be an American and be living in the USA.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Vanderbilt freshman Davis Nwankwo collapsed during practice Monday and was taken to the hospital where he was in stable condition, university athletic officials said.

Nwankwo was treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and requested no more details about his condition be released, athletic officials said.

He is not expected to play Thursday night against Auburn in the first round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament in Nashville.

The 6-foot-10, 245-pound forward has seen his playing time as a reserve increase in the past month. He has played in 23 games this season, scoring a total of 12 points with 27 rebounds.
