Pan Ndi-Igbo Foundation is an existing organization in Nigeria with a long history of resolving political issues concerning Ndi Igbo. PNF USA, Inc. is purely a political organization unlike WIC and other social/cultural organizations. PNF is also a pressure group that works in collaboration with other Igbo organizations. The Foundation is not in competition with any other organizations. PNF USA, Inc collaborates with PNF Nigeria.
I want you to know that PAN NDIIGBO FOUNDATION USA, INC. (PNF USA, INC.) shall be a platform for the articulation, development, promotion and protection of the POLITICAL interests of Ndi Igbo and for ensuring that in carrying out the public business of the nation (Nigeria) there is equity and fairness.
PNF USA, Inc. seeks to develop and promote the establishment of honest IGBO political leaders with the objective of providing good government through eradication of corruption and active investments in education, infrastructure, research and development, and the environment.
PNF will ensure as much as possible that honest candidates of Igbo ethnic extraction are well organized. PNF provides an oppotunity for the people of IGBO origin an organization in which to gain an education in political affairs, knowledge of current events and an opportunity to contribute toward good government through active participation.
PNF USA can endorse any political candidates it deems fit without violating its charter. In addition, PNF can take any political positions privately or publicly without violating its charter and the United States Law. However, WIC and other social/cultural organizations could not endorse political candidates or take a political position because of their charter. As a result, PNF USA could not wait for WIC to change its charter before PNF could start addressing the urgent political interests of Ndi Igbo. PNF is performing entirely a different role--a specialized function. We can compliment each order. PNF is not in competition with any organization. As a matter of fact, there is PNF and Ohaneze are in Nigeria and they work collaboratively. Some members of PNF Nigeria are in Ohaneze.
PNF USA, Inc. will endorse one of the declared presidential candidates of Igbo ethnic extraction after a thorough evaluation of the candidates. We will also endorse one gubernatorial candidate from each of the Igbo states. We are constantly monitoring the activities of these candidates in Nigeria. We are getting feedbacks from PNF Nigeria.
PNF USA, Inc. has individual membership while WIC has organizational membership or indirect representation. However, membership in PNF is not for everyone. One has to be recommended or invited to join PNF USA. Igbo interest is our PRIMARY goal! PNF is formed to achieve its aims and objectives through grass-root participation of members. The detractors will scheme and plan to undermine what PNF USA is doing for their own selfish ends. Whoever is spreading lies about PNF USA is categorically against Ndi Igbo. In the same token, whoever is using unfounded information or information that lacks veracity against PNF USA is equally against Ndi Igbo no matter how you look at it.
PNF USA, Inc. has written to WIC about our existence. Again, PNF is not in competition with WIC. It is our goal compliment each other considering that no single organization has a monopoly of issues concerning Ndi Igbo. We will refer to WIC those activities that are suitable for WIC to handle. PNF USA will encourage WIC to refer or work with us on political matters so that it could be absorbed from any violations of its charter. We will continue to be in communication with WIC among other organizations. If our activities are causing some organizations to rediscover themselves, it is good for Ndi Igbo. According to Oliver Wendell Holmes, "The important thing in this world is not so much where we are, but in what direction we are moving." --
Contrary to some write-ups, PNF has not criticized WIC. Some of us were bold enough to illustrate the need for PNF USA, Inc. Again, PNF intends to work collaboratively with WIC. Some people may argue that we had WIC already to perform PNF's functions. Are we, also, going to discourage our children who are aspiring to be medical doctors and lawyers because we already had many lawyers and doctors of Igbo ethnic extraction? This question is not meant for a response. Remember that some professions have many areas of specialization. PNF has an area of specialization period. In Nigeria, many organizations such as Ohaneze, PNF, Igbo Forum, Ikenga, Igbo People's Movement, etc., coexisted without any fuss.
It is important to note that we support WIC. Some members of PNF USA are indirect members of WIC through their parochial organizations. I am a member of WIC House of Delegates representing an organization in WIC. PNF USA does not have an exclusive right to issues concerning Ndi Igbo. It is important that we work together to accomplish a common goal. Let Igbo interest be the driving force. I know we will only see obstacles the moment we take our eyes off the aims and objectives of PNF. As a result, I urge everyone, no matter your organizational affiliations, to be broad-minded and focus on Igbo Interests and not personal ones.
