PRESS RELEASE EKWE NCHES POSITION ON NIGERIAS NATIONAL ELECTION
*************
Surrendering Igboland to More Turbulent Chaos:
In April 2003, Nigeria enters the second "Post Abacha Military" elections. Great News! But, to the menaced and emaciated Ndi Igbo, the most boisterous affliction has been the diabolical dance of candidates claiming to represent Ndi Igbo in a new(?) unified Nigeria with its saga of fractionating ethnicities. Some have already dabbled in, and tumbled out; some are still pretending they have not announced but were merely misquoted; and others are pathetically arguing whether the "Igbo leader" should come from Imo or Enugu or Anambara or Abia or Ala Nmoo State ( "state" is not original language with Ndi Igbo). Those who cannot remember the past (actually please, include the present) are bound to repeat their mistakes. On the strength of the validity of this thesis, Ekwe Nche has resolved to issue a position statement with every respect to Nigeria in faithfully obedience to the Igbo spirit of Egbe Belu, Ugo Belu; ... [= Live and Let live; ...]--- viz., a position statement that is the concrete and empirical realization of the Igbo mans failure to build a unified Nigeria but, instead found himself desolately marginalized and excruciatingly afflicted by repeated progroms and genocide and disfranchisement--- all disguised faithfully to the Sarduanas sworn declaration of Islamic conquest (of Africa) to the sea. More over, in this position, Ekwe Nche firmly confides that this action will strongly benefit Nigeria towards evolutionary advancement: diminish bloody atrocities; challenge competition for growth and applications of: education and research in science, technology, agriculture, commerce, and government services; and imperatively importantly, accelerate Africas Continental Development.
Inability To Extrapolate Pending Fatalities:
Politico-national leadership is not a dance of comedians. How much less of tragedians! NO! At least, not at this moment in the history of Igboland. What is cropping out there now as "Igbo leaders" is at least not a pride for Igboland. Those who have not introspected their aspirations must stand down and think first. Let no man disgrace himself/herself before GOD and man. Those who fail to perceive AND comprehend reality must not in their prosperous ignorance, determine the destiny of Igboland or any community. No one can build a nation in blood; and no community must be subjected or surrendered to continuing suffering and deprivation. Such a violation of natural law is immeasurably unforgivable. And the threat of potential consequences of the imposition of SHARIA must not be quickly washed aside with a hot drink [.......] as a wino does. Some are already doing this and worse, to Igboland. Truly, Fools rush where Angels fear to tread".
It is categorically undisputable that Nigeria has rejected us. Any Igbo who does not know this is sensibly at best, a profoundly depraved bigot. Every intelligent experiment must eventually come to a termination. The Biafra dream is a task that must be pursued vehemently to free our generation and the generations to come from perpetual bondage. We must not permit our children to be scattered about in apartments throughout the world. History will vilify us as irresponsible if we fail in these missions. And this history will torment us tortuously eternally!
Insensitivity To A Living Catalogue of Atrocities:
Essentially, the Igbo man has lonesomely carried the burden of building "one Nigeria" which faith has now fallen into disrepute. In their sweet dance for "leadership", these self-propelled candidates are now hopefully hoping hopelessly, and hopelessly hoping hopefully to become the Igbo president of Nigeria despite the empirical evidence of recent living atrocities committed against Ndi Igbo over past centuries of his building "one Nigeria". Emphatically, here is not the place to chronicle Nigerias flagrant abuses of human rights against Igboland and the surrounding enclaves:
1. Continuing Massacres and Blood Letting in conjunction with other atrocities all as strong evidential testimony of primitive culture;
2. Igboland today, is existing in managed terror. In the "states" within the geographical vicinities of Igboland (especially, east of the Niger), the police commissioners, superintendent of police are either Hausa or Yoruba or the like. This quiet strategy makes the killing of Igbo youths easily executable [Flashback: Genocide is the goal-- eliminate the young as quickly as possible];
3. Atrophying communicational performance-- telephones (Western Union too, complains); embarrassingly, calls to several parts of Igboland are not getting through; telephones out of service OR "smiling"? "with the cold response, "Try Your Call Again"; and postal mail services never escape forced openings or trashing; Etc.; etc.;
4. Deterioration of Transportation-- abandoned rail links south to north; dilapidated highways and roadways degraded to valleys of death; Contrast with other regions of the nation, especially, the North and West;
5. Debilitating common services:-- commercial connections, hospitals and health facilities (e.g., our markets still spread food stuffs on the ground to the grace of cloud and dust of ground traffic; we have health ministers some of whom frequently travel overseas); etc.; Hospitals experiencing more deaths because of inadequate supply;
6. Please, SCHOOLS and EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS merit a separate argumentation. Some leaders (?) even publicly and proudly assert and affirm that "education is not their priority". How can you convince them that if you cannot educate a people, you cannot advance them.
7. Present Administration has no plans to expand commerce and trade in IGBO-speaking areas: Aba, ...deserve modern marketing facilities, and transport center; Onitsha, ...geographically and commercially deserve seaports; Owerri,...deserve modern research and industry facilities centers; Enugu and other major cities deserve international airports.
9. the domestic airport at Owerri has now been abandoned despite its recent construction in 1990 by community investment. This abandonment immediately makes Chief Iwuanyanwu (s airline) a classic victim of marginalization although he claims publicly that "Igbos are no longer marginalized". These are truly wonderful days of self-contradictions.
10. Our hard-working traders face enormous hardship shipping their wares to and fro. In fact, the Obasonjo government makes life and living so miserable for Ndi Igbo.
Insensitivity To Vanishing Intellectualism In Igboland:
But, the greatest absurdity, the worst denigration; the crudest self-enslavement; the poorest sense of observation; the bluntest deafness to the problems of Igboland; the deadliest apathy to the sufferings of Igbo people; the cruelest compassion to Igboland; the dirtiest dishonest of leadership qualities; is the abject silence or even contracted collusion with external "friends" on this singular pervasion now acidically ravaging Igboland--- the vanishing intellectualism of our children. For instance, Igboland is the only political zone where school children pay tuition and fees in a region where there are no industries even though Igboland is the geological prosperity of Nigeria. Whichever gracious "Igbo leader" would ignore this burning arsenic just for the joy (?) of becoming president of Nigeria practically proves himself the greatest worst dishonest leader in human history; truly, a saboteur. There is nothing more painful, more disillusioning, nor yet, more suffocating as the shadowy practice of neglecting human talents that are richly bestowed on a country. Unarguably, this is a blatant abuse of the Creator. [ =+]: "Instead of violence or religious war, it is better to separate on peaceful bases.
