Ngigigate: Igbo Efulefu Ngige, Uba Reach Truce The Peace and Reconcilia-tion Committee looking into the political crisis in Anambra state yesterday recorded a significant breakthrough in its effort to reconcile the feuding parties in the crisis which pitched the state governor, Dr. Chris Ngige against his political godfather, Chief Chris Uba. In a 12-point communiqu� issued at the end of the committee's meeting at the Government House, Owerri, Imo state and read by Senate President Adolphus Wabara, who is also the head of the committee, the leaders called for a revisit of the impeachment of the former Deputy Governor, Dr. Okey Udeh. It also agreed to revisit the suspension of former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mrs. Eucheria Anazodo. Other high points of the communiqu� was that Uba should no longer interfere in the affairs of the state government. The Committee which was set up at Wabara's instance, held its inaugural meeting at Apo Mansion, official residence of the Senate President on December 13. Fuel queues return   Akande-led faction seals off AD office   AUDIO   VIDEO Queues returned to Lagos fuel stations yesterday, creating fears of a possible fuel scarcity ahead of Christmas. But oil industry operators dismissed the development as resulting from stockpiling of the product by travellers and panic buying. Long queues were noticed at Total fuel station at Mile Two, African Petroleum station on Oba Akran Way in Ikeja, Total station, along... (Daily Independent)   Afresh crisis began yesterday in the much-troubled Alliance for Democracy (AD) as a faction sealed off the party's national secretariat in Abuja. The action which was taken by the national executive of the faction of erstwhile Governor Bisi Akande of Osun State began around 6 a.m. when security guards were ordered out of the premises. A member of staff at the secretariat, Mr. Innocent Sule, said he was surprised when he got to the office around 7 a.m. and met the gate locked.
