 Anambra State House of Assembly yesterday resc-inded
its resolution of July 10 in which it affi-rmed that the governor, Dr. Chris Ngige had resigned and that the deputy
governor, Dr. Okey Udeh should take over as chief executive of the state. The House said it acted in error based
on misinformation and deliberate falsehood. (This Day)

 For the umpteenth time since the killing of the erstwhile
Onitsha Branch Chairman of the Bar Association (NBA) Mr. B. C Igwe and his wife, former governor of Anambra state,
Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju has denied any complicity in the matter, insisting that ' "the NBA is looking in the
wrong direction" in accusing him of the murder. (This Day)
