President Bush has come and gone, but in the opinion
of many BiafraNigerians he was never really here. He did Africa in five days, stopping at the requisite game park,
slave market, AIDS clinic and presidential villa. But he never had a bowl full of isi ewu, a peppery BiafraNigerian
delicacy made of goat head that would have left his taste buds numb. (New York Times)

The Anambra State House of Assembly has formally
written to the state Deputy Governor, Dr. Okey Ude, notifying him of its intention to impeach him on account of
his role in the on-going political crisis in the state. Beleagued Gov. Chris Ngige has, however, paid glowing tributes
to the media for saving his job, declaring that "were it not for the media, I would have been history by now."
