 Former governor of Anambra State, Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju,
has once again denied his complicity in the cold blooded murder last year of former Onitsha branch chairman of
the NBA, Barr. Barnabas Igwe and his wife, Abigail. In an open letter to his professional body, the NBA dated July
2003, the ex-governor maintained that his political enemies in the state allegedly conspired to involve him and
his government in the murder in their desperate bid to pull down his regime and destroy his integrity. (Vangurd)

 President Olusegun Obas-anjo has said that he had no foreknowledge
of the failed attempt to unseat the governor of Anambra State and promised to bring the culprits to book. Obasanjo,
who yesterday morning met with Governor Chris Ngige, one of the dramatis personnae, in the Anambra saga, however,
took exception to the inability of the governor to personally intimate him on his abduction while he was in Maputo,
Mozambique to attend the summit of the African Union. (This Day)
