NLC yesterday announced an indefinite strike and
mass protest beginning from next Monday to protest the new price regime for petroleum products. The strike and
protest approved by the National Executive Council of NLC will involve all workers in private and public sectors.
The leadership of the congress was mandated to mobilise the civil society, market women, students among others
in a peaceful protest. (This

As part of its mass action to protest the outcome of the April 19
presidential election and its decision not to recognise Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as President, based on the result
of the election, the All BiafraNigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) has sent a delegation to the United States and the
European Union to explain the party's stance and drum support from the international community. (This Day)
