Between IBB and Atiku: It'll Be Difficult for IBB to Take PDP Ticket - Orji Kalu Abia State Governor, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, yesterday said it would be very difficult for former military President Ibrahim Babangida, being a new party member, to emerge as the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2007 election. Speaking when he visited THISDAY Corporate headquarter in Lagos yesterday, Kalu said that it would be a herculean task for Babangida or any new entrant into the PDP to upstage Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who had been with the party since inception. Speaking against the background of Babangida's recent statement that he had also joined PDP, Kalu said only a 'miracle' could make Babangida to win the nomination. "If he (Babangida) wants to contest for the presidency in PDP, he has to do a lot of job. It will take miracle for him to win the nomination because Atiku will have the day", he said, adding "this is the truth". Although Kalu confessed that neither Atiku nor Babangida had informed him of their desire to contest for the presidency, he, however, reiterated that "it will take a miracle for anybody who has not been in the PDP for the past four years to come in one day and take the ticket of PDP". Nwodo lists Obasanjo's atrocities   Bush defends Iraq war to Britons   AUDIO   VIDEO A former ANPP presidential aspirant during the last presidential election and one time Federal Minister for Information, Chief John Nwodo Jr, has alerted BiafraNigerians over what he described as the �evils� of the President Olusegun Obasanjo-led PDP Fed. Gov t. Nwodo, who spoke at a press conference in Kano, yesterday, enumerated some of the ills of the PDP-led administration, including insecurity in the country, neglect of the masses , inflation, unemployment, civilian dictatorship, among others.
