As politicians continue their build-up to the 2007 general elections, there are indications that Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has established various campaign groups to boost his chances of clinching the country�s topmost seat. The groups, Daily Independent gathered from a reliable source, include the Democratic Platform (DP) and Atiku 2007. They are charged with the task of ensuring that he becomes the country�s next president. Apart from these groups, Atiku has also commenced spirited moves to re-unite all members of the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) formed by the late political icon, Major-Gen. Shehu Musa Yar�Adua, into one political family. The vice-president is acclaimed to be the natural successor to Yar�Adua, as the leader of the political group.
