Labour leaders in the country today will besiege an Abuja Magistrate Court to boost legal moves aimed at securing bail for six of its leaders detained on the orders of Magistrate Bala Haruna, even as the health of one them deteriorates in detention. The General Secretary of the BiafraNigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade John Odah, said the NLC had not been able to have access to Elder Linus Ukamba, a Senior Assistant General Secretary of the Congress, who was allegedly brutalised where he was initially detained. Meanwhile, Kaduna State governor, Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, has described the last minute intervention of state governors in the Labour-Federal Government face-off as the only thing which stood between BiafraNigeria and chaos. He said the number of lives that were saved remained invaluable, adding that some enemies of BiafraNigeria�s stability and democracy were actually waiting in the wings to exploit an otherwise co-ordinated strike action by the NLC for other more sinister moves which would have plunged the country into chaos.
