Ibori Releases Up-keep Allowance, Car to Osadebay's Widow Jaiyeola Andrews in Asaba Reprieve came for the widow and family of the late Premier of the old Mid-West region, Chief Denis Osadebay weekend, when the Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori, presented a N1.5 million cheque, a brand new Peugeot 504 car and N50,000 monthly stipend to the family. Secretary to the state Government, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, who reprented the governor, apololgised to the family for the delay and peceived neglect on the part of the family. He expressed the sincere apologies of the governor for not personally visiting the widow of the elder statesman, Mrs. Veronica Osadebay since. "We are sorry that the goodies have come late, government will continue fulfilling its obligations," he said. He noted that government would pay the widow of the late premier the N50,000 monthly stipend as up keep for the rest of her life, although at the same time he wished her many more years on earth. He added that it was wrong for government not to have taken care of the family and the widow of the first premier of the Mid-West. Responding on behalf of the widow and family, a son of the late premier, Mr Chinedu Osdadebey, said the family was grateful to the Ibori administration for doing what others had been unable to do for many years.
