UNIFEM/WLG Confab for Women Entrepreneurs United Nations Develop-ment Fund for Women (UNIFEM) in collaboration with the Women's Leadership Group (WLG) is organising two non-residential meetings on August 3 and 4 at the Lagos Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Ikeja for members of the UNIFEM Women Entrepreneurs Forum (WEF). Scheduled to start at 9.00 am each day, the meetings are exclusively for registered participants at the 2002 and 2003 WEF and are part of a planned institutional support for the Forum. The support is to enable WEF members complete the process of standing as a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that is able to impact on national policies even as UNIFEM continues to provide it with on-going technical support to help it take off and stabilise. The key issues on the agenda for the meetings include finalising the constitution for the new organisation, electing interim officers and getting basic training in NGO management.
