Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd) has received additional support for his 2007 presidential bid as an organisation, Obasanjo-Atiku Success Movement (OASM), has thrown its weight behind him. At a meeting of its National Working Committee held recently, it was unanimously resolved that the organisation's name should be changed to Buba Marwa Success Movement (B-MASM). According to a statement issued at the weekend, the "change was effected in order to realign and streamline the activities of the organisation with its new ideological and philosophical framework". However, it explained that the change neither affects nor disrupts the organisation's mandate to support the policies and programmes of the government of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar until 2007. It will hold an international investment forum and other fora and workshop next October and thereafter under the name OASM.
