Abia: Kalu's Aide Cautions PDP From Chuks Okocha in Abuja Abia State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Chief Ralph Egbu, has advised the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to be cautious in its role in the politics of the state. Speaking while on a visit to the Abuja office of THISDAY at the weekend, Egbu said:, "Our advice to the PDP and Presidency is that it should throw its weight in a manner that would not jeopardise the interest of others. It should use its position to help stabilise the polity in Abia State and other states of the federation by taking actions that are legal, or the alternative is to give room for anarchy." Egbu, who was defending state Governor, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu on the allegations of imposing candidates in the last local government elections, said "Orji Kalu did not impose any candidate, rather, what happened was that the governor insisted that those elected at the local government primary elections should stand for the March 27, Council elections."
