FG to Enhance Information Dissemination From Jide Orintunsin in Minna Th e Federal Government has concluded plans to enhance disemmination of its policies and programmes, as six Federal Information Centres (FIC), across the country assume new status and mandate. Minister of Information and National Orientation, Chief Chukwuemeka Chikelu, disclosed this in Minna, during an interactive session with FIC staff at the end of meeting of the 34th National Council on Information. According to Chikelu who was accompanied by his Acting Permanent Secretary, Alhaji A.D Gidado, unlike the past, the present administration was ready to give priority attention to the information sector. He said the new upgraded centres would be equipped with modern technological equipment and connected to the internet, to enable members of the public have access to it. He said the centres would operate reference library, where information materials in diverse forms on Niger State, the country and Africa would be accessed.
