NEPA Owed N1.3bn in Akwa Ibom From Efem Nkanga in Uyo Nationial Electric Power Authority (NEPA) Port Harcourt Zonesaid it is being owed N9.9 billion by the consumers in the zone, out of which consumers in Akwa Ibom State are owning N1.325 billion. The Chief Operating officer of the zone, Engr. Jatola, disclosed this in Uyo, when he paid a courtesy visit to the state Governor, Victor Attah in his office. He commended Attah for the prompt settlement of the electricity bill of the state government, but noted that some outstanding debt of N29.9 million remained unsettled. Jatola however admitted that the state has not been adequately serviced due to limitations currently faced by Aba-Itu 132 KV feeder, adding that the zonal office was undertaking some skilled practice in Ikot Ekpene and the provision of additional capacity at Eket injection sub station.
