Banks, Celebrity Journals Hold Forum The frosty relationship between banks and celebrity journals in Nigeria will be a thing of the past as both sides will have an opportunity to sit and work out a position in a one day seminar planned by Ultimate Communications for Saturday April. 3, 2004 at Excellence Hotel in Ogba, Lagos. According to Tope Fashola, the head of strategic planning Ultimate Communication the decision to have the seminar is to correct the great distrust and suspicion that exists among Banks and celebrity Journals. Toks Modupe a renowned public relations practitioner and chief executive of TPT International is billed to deliver a paper on "Managing the 21st century celebrity ...Journalist" while Ovation International's publisher, Mr. Dele Momodu, will deliver a paper on "Doing business with celebrity Journal" (A handout for bankers) Aside the papers to be delivered, the occasion is also expected to be a good interactive forum for corporate Affairs managers of banks and editors of celebrity magazines to develop a good working relationship. "A directory of all the corporate Affairs managers of banks and celebrity Journalists will be distributed and this will go a long way in breaking communication gaps that exists in both worlds" says the organiser.
