Promotion Respondents Get Rewards

A total of 31 of the over 3000 respondents to two special surveys, Fill The Bug and Consumer Lifestyle Survey were recently rewarded at a raffle draw tagged "Millionaire party" held at Town House, Joel Ogunnaike Street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos. The survery was conducted last year to enable Manufacturers of Fast Moving consumer Goods (FMCG) understand the needs and expectations of their consumers.

The raffle draw which was adjudged transparent by guests has almost every guest and journalists present participated in the picking of the winners, with supervision was done by the representative of an audit firm, Oluseye Johnson & Co. The thirty-one winners went home with a total of N2 million, with 10 people N50,000 richer each, 20 others won N25,000 each while the grand prize winner, Emeka Lawrence Eze from Somolu, Lagos got a whooping sum of N1,000,000.

10 winners of the N50,000 category include Samuel Maduki who resides in Abuja, Ifeayi Erikobo, Ignatius E. Odunagu, Augustine Chima Onyenekwe Abdul Jimoh, Collins Emeka Njoku from Imo, Chima Obinna from Enugu, Bonny Eraye Ewe who lives in Cross River, Kehinde Ebenezer Adeyeye and Steve Chukwunike.

Also, 20 winners emerged from the N25,000 category. They are Mr. Musa Aminu from Oyo, Sunday Segun Adedeji, Imo State, Victor Bassey Ene, Calabar, Sunny Odi, Abia State, ]oe Ibe, Apapa, Lagos, Victor Abiodun Galba, Victoria Island, Lagos, Oladotun Olusegun Oladipupo, Alimosho, Lagos, Emmanuel Nnegi Nwopara, Imo, Benjamin Adesola Grillo from the city of Lagos and Jeffrey Obinna Williams, Imo State.

Others in this category are: Taofeek Oriyomi Saka from Imota Lagos, Amarachi Topas Kingsley, Isolo, Lagos, Tena Steven Kumpa, Markurdi, Benue State, Mr. Fanami, Maiduguri, Borno, Christopher Chukwuemeka Emefua, Anambra State, Austen Ezenwata, Rivers State, Jude Ugochukwu Ojukwu, Gbagada, Lagos, Emmanuel Duke Emadex, Calabar, Paul Yaji and Mr. Chibueze Nwaudu from Aba.

According to the organizers of was a night full of fun and excitement where choice drinks and victuals flowed in abundance, participants in the raffle draw were those who responded to the questionnaire sent out by mail between June and December, 2003.

The questionnaires were also made available on the two websites (www.lifestylenigeria.com and www.thebunonline.com) solely developed for the survey. The questionnaire was designed to validate and enhance consumer data on the generic consumer products such as drinks, GSM phones among others.

In the course of the survey, 2,291 consumers responded to the questionnaire sent out between April and July 2003 while 1,624 respondents participated in the ones sent out between October and December 2003.

Entrants to the survey who were all 18 years and above were asked several questions bordering on what they like to do, where they travel to, whether they travel out of Nigeria, what reason informed their travelling often, where they relax, whether they smoke, there preferences, whether they take alcoholic drinks, aside been also asked to describe themselves, among other personal lifestyle issues.

Mr. Chris Parkes, Head Consultant, Chris Parkes Marketing Solutions (CPMS), the brain behind the package told guests at the millionaire party that the consumer lifestyle survey project was carried out in order to intrude in the lives of consumers and get vital information on how consumers live their lives; "it's important we get it right, what we want to do is to offer an opportunity to create a relationship between us and the consumers, with that we ended up with huge response, over 3,000 names were submitted so we started networking with them on internet, winners will be given their prizes here or via DHL, the media has also helped with their effort to be transparent".
