Triumph Bank Assures Customers The management of Triumph Bank has assured its numerous customers and clients of its readiness to meet the new guidelines on bank's re-capitalisation set by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) come next year. The bank, in a statement issued on last week in Lagos said the first step towards complying with the new requirement was the decision taken by the board of directors to immediately shore up the bank's paid up capital. The decision is already being communicated to shareholders in readiness for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) slated for September. The statement further said that this new initiative would serve as the footstool upon which the bank will commence deliberations with other stakeholders in the industry towards meeting the N25 billion stipulated capital base. The bank however assured customers of the safety of their funds and investment with the bank. It explained that there was no need for panic movement of funds in view of concerns being expressed in many quarters as to the ability of banks and the economy to generate the required capital to meet the new guideline.
