Chikelu Inaugurates C'ttee to Restructure NOA From Onyebuchi Ezigbo in Abuja Information and National Orientation Minister, Chief Chukwuemeka Chikelu, yesterday inaugurated a 12-member committee to review and restructure operations of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), with a charge to refocus it in line with the Federal Government's aspirations. Chikelu said the role of NOA was very central to the nation's character, core values and our essence as a people. The minister noted that it has become necessary to re-appraise the agency's functions and mode of operation to re-direct it to the critical needs of the time. "We must begin to move some of our most important institutions unto the part of serving our nation rather than incumbent governments," he said. He told the committee that its job was to ascertain how our collective national interest shall be served by an orientation agency that combines ideological neutrality with the requisite nationalism that would strengthen genuine patriotism in the citizenry.
