Ondo Schools Get N91m Grants From Funso Muraina in Akure Ondo State government has given education a boost with the approval of N91.2 million as running grant to all schools in the state for the 2003/2004 academic session. Similarly, a sum of N105 million has been provided for the provision of books, supply of science materials and other technical facilities for all schools in the state. This was disclosed by the state Governor, Olusegun Agagu, in Akure at the opening ceremony of the National Executive Committee meeting of the All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPPS). He said his administration was poised to improve the standard of education in the state. Agagu noted that a sum of N5.9 million has been expended for the training of teachers, saying all principals of the 281 public schools in the state would soon be trained during this holiday at the sum of N6.2 million.
