Public Officers Advised on Information Dissemination Ebonyi From Chinedu Eze in Abakaliki Ebonyi State Commiss -ioner for Information, Dr. John Otu, has directed public officers to channel their information dissemination through the ministry, to avoid discordance in the flow of information from the state. Briefing newsmen in Abakaliki, after attending the 34th National Council on Information meeting, which ended in Minna, Niger State, last weekend, Otu frowned at public officers "who go on air and make unnecessary utterances", saying the ministry intends to streamline information dissemination from the state. He said all parastatals under the Ministry of Information must work together, to avoid unwholesome relationship and urged the head of such agencies to work harmoniously with their staff, to ensure that they are committed to their duties. He said the new radio station of Ebonyi State Broadcasting Service (EBBS) would soon start test transmission, stating that the state government has invited experts from overseas to inspect installed equipment, so that it would commence broadcasting.
