Goje May Probe Predecessor From Saka Ibrahim in Gombe Alhaji Danjuma Goje's administration can still probe the past government of Alhaji Abubakar Hashidu for allegedly wasting allocations of the state totalling N30 billion. A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Abdullahi Jalo in an interview with THISDAY claimed that government had enough evidence against the Hashidu government. According to Jalo, some officials of the previous government deliberately squandered resources and forgot about developing the state. He challenged the then Commissioner for Finance now Senator, Haruna Garba to explain how the Hashidu government spent the allocations collected between 1999 to May 2003. "If the amount has not been utilised, where is the money? We are aware they stashed our money in foreign banks. We want them to bring our money back." He advised the senator to stop making noise in the press, knowingfully well that their government had been indicted by the transition committee headed by Ambassador Saidu Moha-mmed. "I know Haruna Garba cannot escape if the present government decides to probe Hashidu's administration." Jalo alleged that government vehicles were recovered from officials of the past government including Hashidu and his ANPP party officials.
