Monarch Makes Case for Investors From Hammed Shittu in Osogbo A royal father in Osun State, Olabode of Bode-Osi, Oba Nureni Abioye Oyewale has called on the Federal Government to create an enabling environment for investors so as to make them have an opportunity to establish cottage industries at the grassroots. Oba Oyewole disclosed this at his palace in Bode Osi at the weekend saying this would go a long way in bringing a new lease of life to the rural populace. He said that apart from this, it would provide employment opportunities for young graduates thereby reducing rural-urban migration. Oyewale who was a former Chairman of Ola-Oluwa local government council area in the state added that, "it is the responsibility of the Federal Government to compel financial institutions in the country to lower interest rates being charged on loans for industrialists so as to assist them have access to loans that can be used to establish cottage industries at the grassroots." He noted that, on the part of the local people, they would not hesitate to provide land for the industrialists in order to help them establish their industry. He used the occasion to laud Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola over his welfarist programmes, stating that his administration in the last one year has witnessed development. He appealed to the governor to establish a higher institution at Bode-Osi so as to reduce the sufferings being faced by the indigenes of the town.
