Bar Beach Clash: Adebajo-Fraser Sues for Peace Lagos By Paul Ohia Following last week's clash by suspected members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), and some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members, at the Lagos Bar Beach, frontline politician and chieftain of PDP, Princess Victoria Adebajo-Frasser, has called on the Lagos State government to seek audience with the Minister of Works and Housing on the proper procedure for taking over the beach. Adebajo-Fraser, who claimed to be at the scene of the clash said crisis was avoidable if Bola Tinubu, Govenror his commissioner for works and the attorney-general went to iron out some grey areas in a peaceful way with a moderator from the presidency. Her words:"lt is not a situation whereby someone will say he is settling a quarrel because it is not a quarrel but an official matter''. She called on those provoking violence in Victoria Island to understand that the area has been a peaceful place because members of the diplomatic community reside there. The politician who is also a leader of the PDP in Victoria Island applauded the Commissioner and Area Commander of the Police for responding promptly to distreess call by mobilising members of the force to restore calm. However, she lamented that the Divisional Police Officer, Kola Iwasammi and his Divisional Crime Officer did nothing to forestall the fracas.
