I'm Not Under Probe, Says Yar'Adua From Jare Ilelaboye in Katsina Governor Musa Yar'Adua of Katsina State has said that he was not aware of any allegation of wrong doings against him by any federal government agency which may warrant his defending himself. The governor, who stated this while speaking with journalists said "it is very imperative on the part of those making such allegation of financial impropriety to substantiate their allegation because left for me, nobody informed me of anything from any government organisation in the country." The governor, who referred to a recent media report over alleged financial mismanagement said "I will be interested to know from those who made such allegations to come out with fact and figures on the matter," saying he can not comment on what he does not know anything about. On whether he would drag such media outfits to court over the report, Yar'Adua said "there have been alot of allegations made against me since I assumed public office and if I had been going to court on such issues, how many times would I have gone to court?" he asked. He said based on some of the discussions he had with his legal advisers, he found out that if he had gone to court, he would have sued for libel but however advised those media outfits to base their reports on facts and figures when faced with such issues in future. Earlier, the governor had commended journalists in the State for publicising the activities of his government adding that without the press, what happens everyday in the world would not have been known. He said the media made the world to become a small village in which events of serious dimensions, which occur within seconds, are known all over the world immediately.
