FG Urged to Terminate Solgas Contract From Yinka Kolawole in Lokoja The federal Government has been urged to terminate all contract agreement term with Solgas Energy, contractor handling the Ajaokuta Steel Complex or risk enlogation of on-going workers' strike. A communique issued by the Congress of Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association (CISSSA) and the Steel Engineering Workers Union, (SEWUN) signed by Comrade Titus Olaniran Orimujupa and Comrade M.J. Salami, asked the Federal Government to act promptly. It said the workers have vowed never to surrender until their needs and demands are met, announcing that since Solgas took over the company, staff had been denied allowances. It described Solgas as incapable of ensuring the nation's steel dream, and called on the Federal Government to wade into the problem before it gets out of hand.
