Guinness Presents Bottle to Monarch, Gov
Oba of Benin, Omo N'Oba Erediauwa has given his royal blessings to the introduction of the new trendy Guinness Stout bottles.
The monarch gave his blessing in his palace, when the leadership of Guinness Nigeria, led by its Managing Director, Keith Richards, paid him a courtesy visit.
Richards explained the motive behind introduction of the new bottle, when he handed over the golden box containing the new look bottle to the monarch.
He said the company was responding to feedbacks from Nigerians that they wanted a contemporary bottle which reflects their new taste.
"Our company is always quick to respond to consumers' demand and we are passionate about satisfying them always, no matter the cost to us," he said.
In his response, Oba Erediauwa praised the vision and effort of Guinness leadership for coming up with what he described as "a beautifully crafted and designed bottle", adding that all lovers of Stout should be proud of the new bottle.
Guinness Nigeria, according to the Oba, has contributed significantly to social and economic development of his kingdom since the establishment of the Benin Brewery.
The Oba gave as examples, the provision of good drinking water for the Oregbeni community and employment of indigenes amongst others.
The bottle was also presented to the state Governor, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, at the Government House.
Richards said the new and trendy packaging of Guinness Stout has not in any way changed the great taste, but has always set the exciting drink apart from others.
State Deputy Governor, Chief Mike Oghiadome, who received the team on behalf of the governor, gave kudos to Guinness for coming out with a stylish and unique new bottle, adding that Guinness Nigeria has lived up to its reputation as a world class company.
"The quality of your products prove that you are a world class beverage company. Your new bottle is really unique and modern.
I wish Guinness Nigeria more successes in the years ahead," he said.
