Akume Lauds ALGON President Benue State Governor, Mr George Akume has congratulated the National President of the Association of Local Government Chairman of Nigeria (ALGON), Mr Baver Dzeremo, and ALGON Chairman of Enugu branch, Comrade Abba Morro, on their election. He also congratulated ALGON committees at the state and national levels. Akume rejoiced with "these sons of the state for their track record of achievements in the service of the good people of our great nation at the grassroots level and for distinguishing themselves among their colleagues". He expressed appreciation to chairmen of the 774 councils, as well as the 23 councils in the state, for the confidence reposed in Dzeremo and Morro. Akume assured that having worked closely with Dzeremo and Morro closely in the last five years, he is convinced that they will bring their wealth of experience to bear on their new assignments and will definitely excel in their new positions. He prayed God to grant them good health, wisdom, vision and the requisite patriotic zeal to lead their colleagues in the campaign to enthrone democratic values in our great nation while also soliciting the cooperation of all, to ensure the success of their tenure.
