FIFA Goal Project: Ballot May Decide Winner From Juliana Taiwo in Abuja Mr. Shehu Dikko, of Inter-Projects Associates, the Consultant to both the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) and the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) has said the eventual contractor for the FIFA Goal Project may be picked by balloting tomorrow. Speaking with THISDAYSports yesterday Dikko said all three contractors bidding for the job had all come down to the range of N94, 148,712.75 projection for the job by his company. He said since they had all come within the range expected it would be unfair to openly pick one over the others hence balloting may be adopted to ensure it is transparent. At the weekend, three contractors had submitted bids for the project. Ujat Nig. Ltd had tendered a sum of N315 million ($2,250 million) for the Lot A part of the contract, which is the building and gave 26 weeks as period of completion; Dori Construction Engineering Nig Ltd submitted N285,893,268.70k (24 weeks) and Avon Nig Ltd. N215,163,663.20k (26 weeks) but said its quotation is valid for 12 weeks after which it would be reviewed. The winner would be announced today and the name forwarded to FIFA immediately ahead of its meeting starting tomorrow. A FIFA representative was also present at the meeting yesterday.
