Eliagwu Joins Martins in Inter's Snr Team Rated 24th fastest teenager by FIFA By Ayodeji Fashikun Another Nigerian youth attacking prodigy, Isah Eliagwu, has broken into the senior team of Inter Milan of Italy team. Only last week he scored two goals in the pre-season friendly against Modenna FC in the 6-4 win by the team that produced Obafemi Martins. Eliagwu, son of a soldier, Sgt. Isah Eliagwu of the Ojo Barracks, Lagos was last season's Inter Youth team's highest goal scorer with 38 goals to his credit having scored 28 goals in his first season with the club. He also scored eight goals in six matches in his two months loan spell with Roma FC. The former Ebedei FC of Lagos player is also known with his friends as 'blitzkrieg' meaning thunderstorm. His emergence to stardom was broken to THISDAYSports courtesy of a London-based Nigerian businessman, Mr. Gbenga Omole. "Isah scored two of the goals with which Modenna was beaten at home last Monday. I have watched him play and he is fantastic. The boy is faster than Nedved. He is a complete striker who will end the woes of the Nigerian Super Eagles," he noted. Omole recommended, "Check the FIFA and UEFA sites to confirm the rating of this young Nigerian. He is rated 24th in the list of 50 upcoming teenagers expected to storm the next generation of footballers to hit stardom. Nigeria should start to monitor and exploit his potentials especially in the World Cup programme."
