Parents Advised to Engage Kids in Productive Ventures Parents have been urged to always engage their children in useful and productive ventures to become good and responsible citizens. The advice was given by the Chief of Staff Govern-ment House, Owerri, Chief Vin Udokwu at the commissioning of the Philomina Emelumba Computer Training Centre in Ubulu, Oru West Local Government of Imo State. Udokwu, who frowned at the attitude of some married women who dodge responsibility in the guise of being career women urged them to have a rethink. "To my mind, every married woman is a housewife. But I know also that there are full time housewives and those who work. We should therefore have time to train our children to be responsible citizens", he said. The Centre, which is named after mother of a member of the State Assembly, Hon Mbadiwe Declan Emelumba was commissioned by the Secretary to Imo State Government, Nze Ignatius Umunnah. Built by the Catholic Women Organisation of Christ the King Catholic Church, Ubulu, the centre, apart from training youth in computer education, also offers a wide range of secretarial and communication services. Nze Umunnah described it as a bold initiative which will help government reduce unemployment. He said he was particularly happy that the people of Ubulu had continued to contribute to the success of the administration of Governor Achike Udenwa.
