2007: Marwa's Aide Alleges Death Threat Lagos By Yemi Akinsuyi Politicians seem to have taken the battle of 2007 presidency to another height as one supporter of Brigadier General Buba Marwa (rtd) had alleged threat to his life by people suspected to be Marwa's arch enemies. In a letter written to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Tafa Balogun and made available to THISDAY, Comrade Melaye Daniel Dino, National President of National Association of Democratic Youths (NADY), said he suspected people who had the same ambition with Marwa. He said: "I call here today to inform you that there has been serious threat to my life by people I believe are working against the person of Brig. General Mohammed Buba Marwa. I am very sure that this threat is from people of in-ordinate ambition, who believe that after trying to seduce me with money, cars, and material gifts, they have finally resolved to threat and plot to kill and destroy me," Dino alleged. Describing how the suspected assailants have been terrorising his life, NADY scribe, whose association recently declared full support for the candidature of Marwa for the 2007 presidential election, noted that "last month, precisely on the July 12, I went to federal secretariat and parked outside, before I could return, my car had been seriously vandalised and I found a note written in red biro ink a bold statement WATCH OUT. "I taught it was a joke, until I got nothing less than 20 strange calls with their numbers hidden, I got the same message: why do you want to waste your life because of Marwa, you have to stop confusing Nigerian youths into supporting Marwa.
