Aron Wins FIFA Goal Project Contract From Juliana Taiwo in Abuja Aron Nigeria Limited has beaten two others to land the juicy contract to handle the FIFA Goal Project. The company, which initially quoted N215,163,663.20k to execute the Lot A part of Goal Project to be completed in 26 weeks, came down to $696,000 that is $290.25 per square meters (about N97 million) to execute in 22 weeks, which fetched them the deal. Announcing the winner yesterday, Mr. Shehu Dikko, of Inter-Projects Associates, the Consultant for both FIFA and Nigeria Football Associa-tion (NFA) said Aron had the lowest bid amongst the three. He said Ujat Nig. Ltd which had initially tendered contract sum N315 million ($2,250 million) for 26 weeks had come down to $720,000 that is $300 per square meters(about N108 million) and Dori Construction Enginee-ring Nig Ltd which initially submitted N285,893,268.70k tender for 24 weeks came down to $1.2 million that is $500 per square meters(about 167 million). Dikko said the name of the winner has been faxed to FIFA and by Monday the contract papers would be sent to Aron Nig. Ltd, which has a right to make its objection known to FIFA if it found any portions unsatisfactory.
