City Express Strengthens Operations
In a bid to meet the N25 billion capital base recently announced by the Central Bank of Nigeria, City Express Bank PLC has strengthened its operations in preparation for the challenges ahead.
The board of the bank in a statement says it has commenced capital generation drive which would ensure that the N25 billion target at the stipulated time.
According to the statement, the chairman of the bank, Prince Samuel Adedoyin and the board are leaving nothing to chances in their resolve to ensure that the bank not only meet their requirement, but also comes out after".
To consolidate the board's effort, the management of the bank has put in place measures to srengthen the bank's operation in line with new challenges.
The statement further disclosed the staff are now being re-orientated on the new challenges while operations in the branches are being strengthened to attract more deposit and reassure customers.
According to the statement" the proactive manner the bank rose to the challenges of the new requirement has ensured that the bank continues to enjoy the confidence and trust of its numerous customers", the statement assured.
"With the measures put in place now, the bank's board has guaranteed the continued health of the bank. The future is assured as it will continue to be in the clearing house and to meets the needs of its cherished customers"
It will be recalled that City Express Bank had shortly after the Central Bank of Nigeria announced the new capital base, assured customers of its resolve to meet up with the challenges. The bank's board, then assured customers that the bank's liquidity position will not in any way be affected by CBN's directive that public fund be withdrawn from bank's. The board even noted that
City Express Bank has stated generating deposit from the retail end of the market through its branch network expansion.
