Babangida�s reaction came yesterday on the heels of criticisms from prominent Nigerians against his presidential ambition. Among them are Professor Wole Soyinka and Tam David-West as well as the Primate of Methodist Church of Nigeria, Dr. Sunday Mbang, with the Nobel laureate demanding an explanation for the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential election. Babangida who spoke in Funtua, Katsina State, told reporters that he had talked so much about the June 12 annulment, pointing out that there was virtually nothing to say again on the issue. Babangida, in Funtua to console former Special Duties Minister, Alhaji Wada Nas who lost his wife last week, said that under the present democratic dispensation, people have the right to express their opinions and ��none of them (his critics) is God��. He added: ��There are a lot more important things to talk about than to bother about David-West. Mbang is a man of God and I am also a believer in God.
