Minister Assures of Sufficient Food Production Osun From Hammed Shittu in Osogbo Minister of State for Agriculture, Otunba Bamidele Dada, has said President Olusegun Obas -anjo's government would leave no stone unturned, to ensure the full implementation of its agricultural policies, to bring food to the doorsteps of Nigerians. Dada said this at Ifon-Osun, in Oroki Local Governmnet Council of Osun State, shortly after he was confered with the chieftancy title of Atobase of Ifonland, by the Olufon of Ifon, Oba Ilufemiloye Orisatoyinbo. He said " all hands have been on deck to ensure that the agriculture sector maintains its leading role, to provide food for Nigerians. Dada said, "we have put all machineries in motion to rejuvenate agriculture, which in turn would alleviate the sufferings of the masses." He said " it is now the responsibility of Nigerians to reciprocate the gesture by supporting the Federal Government in its bid to revolutionalise agriculture. Also speaking at the ceremony, Oba Orisatoyinbo appealed to the Federal Government to establish agricultural institution in the ancient town. He said establishment of such would boost the morale of the people of the area, who, are predominantly farmers. He then appealed to the people of the state to support Obasanjo and Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, so as to move the town forward.
