Zenith Bank Wins 2004 Web-Jurist Award

Zenith Bank Plc has for the second year running won the rating of the Nigerian bank with the best website.
The yearly rating carried out by Phillips Consulting on websites of banks, this year assessed 46 banks for their strengths in aesthetics, technicality, website content, web transaction processing, customer experience and performance
Zenithbank's www.zenithbank.com website beat the Citibank and Access bank websites to second and third place respectively to win the 2004 Web-Jurist Award.
Assessment was done for the banks under four categories: content, online service quality, usability and accessibility. In winning, Zenith bank remained in the top three of three of these four categories. Only in the accessibility category did Zenith Bank fall out of the top five.
In arriving at its conclusions, the web jurist report described the Zenith Bank Website as "the leader of the digital pack." According to the report, "The latest version of Zenith site can hold its own on a global level. The site is highly usable, well written and strongly on brand."
It further said that, "Zenith Bank website provides a comprehensive sitemap and an enhanced user experience, thanks to the quick drop-down menus, good use of instinctive icons and a clear global navigation structure. Information that is sought is easily and quickly found, offering a pleasant information experience for the user."
On content, the report showed that the home page of Zenith Bank's website targets different customers with clear, benefit driven copy and the product pages are excellent. The new eazy-card debit card is clearly explained, so that the potential customer who has not had one before can understand with a minimum effort".

The introduction of website effectiveness ratings has resulted in a number of Nigerian banks improving their sites by transforming them into consumercentered and contentrich platforms. Web-Jurist uses a combination of experienced e-business consultants and a rigorous and comprehensive rating methodology. The major focus of the survey is user-experience, accessibility, content and online service quality.
The 2004 Web-Jurist Award is an addition to the array of laurels in the kitty of Zenith Bank Plc.
