Plateau crisis: Dariye must apologise – Mantu The Deputy Senate President, Ibrahim Nasiru Mantu, has called on suspended Governor Joshua Chibi Dariye, to apologise to the people for the series of crises that enveloped the state. Speaking in Jos when he paid a thank you visit to Jonah David Jang for decamping to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mantu explained that now is the time for the suspended governor to say sorry those affected by the ethno religious crises. Mantu, who was coming to Plateau state on his first official visit after the declaration of the state of emergency, said what the people of the state needed was to forget their differences and see how to move the state forward. He said those who are accusing him over the imposition of emergency rule in the state should have a rethink, saying that he has no regrets over what he did to save the lives of innocent people. In his response, Jonah Jang explained that he decided to leave the PDP because of the way things were being handled by the suspended governor.
