Curb Exodus of Pychiatric Nurses' From Toba Suleiman in Abeokuta Federal Government has been charged to take urgent and decisive steps towards curbing the exodus of Psychiatric nurses to other countries in the interest of the profession and benefit of the Nigerian masses. Delivering a keynote address yesterday at the two-day Seminar/ Workshop organised by Association of psychiatric Nurses of Nigeria (APNON) Aro, Hospital, Abeokuta branch, Principal, School of Psychiatric Nursing, Aro, Pastor Peter Adebiyi Oke, further urged the Federal Government to find a way of inducing the Nurses as in other countries. Oke who spoke on the theme: Psychiatric- Mental Health Nursing in Nigeria: "The past, present and future", expressed the need for an urgent step to be taken by the federal government to arrest the situation. He lamented the rate at which experts in the psychiatric Hospitals across the country are fleeing, leaving behind a vacuum dangerous in the psychiatric health sector.
