Support Tinubu, Afikuyomi Urges Supporters By Ndubuisi Ugah With less than three years to the expiration of the present democratic dispensation, Lagosians have been urged not to relent in supporting Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration in its bid towards making life worthwhile for the citizenry. Making the call in Lagos during an interractive session with representatives of his former Lagos Central senatorial district, Senate Deputy Minority Whip, Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi said there was no need for rancour and bitterness to exist among the people, when it was obvious that Tinubu's administration was bent on improving the living standard of the citizenry. According to him, "we cannot afford to get the AD administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu distracted by any full blown campaign at any time like this. That is why I am pleading for some kind of political cease-fire for now. We must all ensure that this administration's plan and programmes succeed. That must be our priority for now". He pointed out that rather than engage in endless politics which would not fetch the state any democracy dividend, it was important that all the supporters of his perceived 2007 governorship aspiration should cease-fire and give their maximum support to Tinubu's success during the on-going second term.
