Corps Members Lament Misappropriation of Allowances Corp members serving in Osun State, have sent a save-our-soul message to the Federal Government over alleged misappropriation of their monthly allowances. They plead with the National Director, Brigadier Walter Oki, to compel the Osun State Director, Mr Fidelis Osakwe, to investigate circumstances surrounding the issue. Some of the corps members who did not want their names in print alleged that they were being denied their monthly allowances on frivolous reasons, ranging from inability to sign what the secretariat calls weekly attendance roster. Pointing out that the development was part of the ploy to divert monthly stipend meant for their upkeep, they said there were situations where names of members who even signed the roster, were omitted in the payment voucher.
