NFA Invites More Partners Fifa Goal Project From Juliana Taiwo in Abuja The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) in a bid to add value to its FIFA Goal Project has mandated the FIFA Goal Project Manager, Mallam Shehu A. Dikko to secure partners and sponsors for the project. In a release signed by the NFA Spokesman, Mr. Samuel Kaalu, the objective is to secure partners and sponsors for the project with regards to equipment and services that will be required to enhance the function and quality of the Technical Centre. The equipment for which sponsors are being invited include office equipment for the centre such as computers and other office accessories, electrical and electronic requirements of the centre such as TV, VRC, projectors and other accessories, vehicles and buses for the centre. Kaalu said in accordance with FIFA guidelines, the contract for the first phase of the NFA-FIFA Goal Project has been awarded, to Aron Nig. Ltd, which won after an open and competitive bidding process, which also followed the due process requirements and guidelines of the Federal Government. He said in line with FIFA guidelines, Phase I of the project will commence on September 1, and would be completed on or before February 28, 2005 while the other phase will commence thereafter. The total project cost for the Phase I of the project, which is the construction of a world class technical centre, is of $870,000. This includes the cost of building and civil works, furniture and equipment as well as cost of professional fees. All the rooms, classrooms and offices will be tastefully furnished and will have provisions for TV, VCR, and internet connection. It would be recalled that Aron Nigeria Limited had beaten two other contractors to land the juicy contract to handle the FIFA Goal Project.
