Aron Nigeria emerges FIFA Goal Project contractor By Orkula Shaagee Correspondent, Abuja   Aron Nigeria Limited has emerged the winner of the contract to build the permanent secretariat of the Nigeria Football Association at the cost of 696, 000 US dollars. This is below the N215.1 million offered by the construction company at  last week's bidding, and 4 weeks less than the 26 weeks promised for the completion of the project, as it now says it would complete the work within 22 weeks. Consultant to the project, Shehu Dikko, who announced the winner of the bid in Abuja Thursday, says they have to go for the lowest bidder since the two other firms Ujat Nigeria Limited quoted 720, 00 US dollars while Doris Construction and Engineering Limited came down from the earlier N285.8million to 1.2miliom US dollars. He disclosed that all documents relating to the bidding and the winner of the contract's name have been sent to FIFA, who will in turn make its recommendation known to the NFA on Monday before the signing of the contract papers. According to Dikko,,Aron will sign the contract, whose total value, including furnishing of the secretariat is put at 880, 000 US dollars directly with the world football governing body, FIFA. The first phase of the project, which is the Technical Centre is made up of 17 rooms for lectures and accommodation, two dinning halls, eight rooms for instructors, two large classrooms, two small classrooms, offices for national coaches, a mini clinic and a media centre.       Copyright� 2002.
