In May 2004, the officer in charge of reading my meter read the meter as 02796 but by the time my bill was brought, it read 04796 thereby creating an imaginary 2000 units which is about N8000. I wrote to the marketing manager in Ketu. Since my campaign, rather than effecting the correction, NEPA has been giving me an estimated and crazy bill. Below is my meter reading since May 2004. May 2004 - 02796 June 2004 - 03026 July 2004 - 03362 August 2004 - 03549 From the analysis, my average consumption is around 250 units monthly, but I get as much as 782 units. This is crazy indeed! I have written even to the business manager in Shomolu District. As at August 14, 2004 when the meter was read, my reading was 03549. Where then did NEPA get 04796 To cover for this error, they bring estimated bill. I am being exploited. I wish to once again, appeal to the Business Manger (Shomolu District) and General Manager (Lagos Zone) to come to my aid and stop this continual exploitation. I am a young man struggling to survive.
