Osun Speaker Warns Council Chairmen From Hammed Shittu in Osogbo Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adejare Bello yesterday warned council chairmen to desist from embarking on issues that may affect the peace and harmony of the state. Bello gave the warnining in Osogbo after a five hour meeting with the 30 local government council chairmen, vice-chairmen, councillors and supervisory councillors in the state. He urged them to adhere strictly with the guidelines and local government law passed by the state house of assembly. Bello who expressed concern over the reported pocket of crises in the councils said the house would not allow any kind of misgivings to thwart the effort of the present government in moving the state forward. He wondered why the council chairmen, vice chairmen, councillors and career officers could not cooperate with each other adding that the development has continue to affect peace and progress of the councils in the state.
